Vision and Values

Wycombe Mind was formed as a steering group in 1988 consisting of people involved with mental health services either as service users or as mental health and social work professionals. The organisation registered as a charity in 1991 and was affiliated to National Mind.

The vision was and continues to be to support and empower people experiencing mental distress.

Over the last 35 years we have supported thousands of people in the Wycombe area and have helped people on their journey to recovery from mental distress.

Every member of our team works to provide a professional person-centred service in collaboration with members of Wycombe Mind and ensure that the services provided are recovery orientated and cultivate positive opportunities for everyone.

We are proud to have been recognised as an exemplar Local Mind Association for promoting equality and diversity. We are committed to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Equality (EDIE) and work to address inequalities which can be experienced more often by minoritised communities. We deliver 3 equality services funded by the Rothschild Foundation to support our aims.
