Our social day service sessions help those with more severe and long standing mental health issues to receive structure and support from the community at Wycombe Mind.
We treat each service user as an individual and work with them to find out what will help them the most in their recovery.
These sessions run from the Wycombe Mind building, Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays 10am-2pm and Sundays 12pm-3pm.
Our regular activities in our day service sessions include:
- Friendly conversation and chat
- Group lunches
- Film club
- Table Tennis
- Quizzes, board games and bingo
- Guest speakers
- Day trips out
We also run regular groups alongside our day service sessions. These include:
Our skilled Art Worker Aruntha works with service users to create and express themselves through various forms of art, including drawing, colouring, painting, sewing and various other art and craft projects. In the past we have also then featured this art in an exhibition with Bucks Art weeks to celebrate the work of the service users over the year. Our art group runs Mondays 10am-12pm and is open to all who attend on a Monday.
Men’s Leisure Group
We created this group as an opportunity for men to meet to support each other and to find similar interests to enjoy with others alike to them. These activities include playing pool, going bowling, walking around Wycombe and going on day trips. The group runs Tuesdays 10am-2pm and is open to all male service users.
Each Friday our talented musician Heddi comes in to bring some joy and cheer to us all. Service users are encouraged to sing along to their favourite songs and have the opportunity to practice with some instruments as well. Our music group runs Fridays 10am-2pm and is open to all who attend on a Friday.
