On Saturday 20^th August 2022 members of Wycombe Mind and Growing Hope charity undertook a sponsored walk with the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of High Wycombe.

We left Bourne End at 9.15am and arrived on the Rye at 1pm for a wonderful picnic. We have almost reached our target of £3,000 and we would like to thank all those who donated so generously. A special thanks must go to Mavis Stokes and her team who provided refreshments stations at Wooburn Park, Watery Lane and Kingsmead Recreation Ground.

Also deserving a mention is Councillor Imran Hussain who provided 50 samosas, collected two lovely cakes from Hill’s Café and was on call as our rescue vehicle in case any walkers needed assistance. We look forward enthusiastically to further events with the Mayor of High Wycombe as one of the two charities for this year’s Mayor’s Appeal.
